From the culture watch department, I found some interesting data tonight using Google Trends on Facebook search volume as a percentage of total search volume by geography. Here are the top countries, cities, and languages for the last twelve months. These numbers speak to the strength of Facebook’s international growth. Facebook is clearly a very large phenomenon in Canada, South Africa, the UK, and Turkey, where the normalized search volume is 5x the US rate. In the US, the midwestern states

Well you may have guessed it more bad news for the pound...Today saw the sterling / Euro exchange rate hit a fresh low from yesterday breaking through the 1.25 barrier to 1.2478.

Time Warner was blocking access to Bad Cop News in the southwest region after posts of Oceanside police cover up of San Diego police officer Franklin White's road rage shooting of mother and her 8 year old child. It effected all sites on the server. It was quickly "fixed" when TW was contacted by AP, with TW blaming Level 3 for blockage.
