Video Games are Hot
Mon, 21 Apr 2008 20:20:18 PDT
Video Games are Hot So what’s the reason behind the resurgence in gaming? I think it has a lot to do with the amazingness of the current generation of video game consoles. Even more amazing has been the resurgence of the the XBox 360 which now is the 2nd highest seller, leaping ahead of the PS3 and fighting against the Nintendo Wii. How many consoles do you own and what’s the biggest attraction for you? 22. April 2008Business, Technology, Trends,

Citing sources "familiar with the situation," WSJ says the terms would put the Long Island paper in a JV with the NY Post and some non-newspaper assets; News Corp would own most with Tribune holding ...

Risebrough, Lemaire Q&A’s Posted on April 21st, 2008 – 10:21 PM By Michael Russo Alrighty, I’m back. Here are some partial Q&A’s you can peruse at your leisure. I’ll probably throw up some player quotes Tuesday. Marian Gaborik has not decided whether he’ll play for Slovakia, while Pavol D

More on Checking Allocations
Mon, 21 Apr 2008 20:11:02 PDT
Seems my last post met with some objections – somewhat rightfully so, as I mischaracterized one of Tom’s points – he never advocated just not checking for allocations, but instead to use an allocator that has a non-returning error handler – though it seems some of his commentors were advocating that (I think they should go to rehab). This isn’t always a bad way to go – I recommend using SafeInt the same way in some conditions. There are some problems that make allocators special, though. For ex
Do Or Die Week For Yahoo
Mon, 21 Apr 2008 22:50:59 PDT
This is it. Yahoo’s final week to negotiate with Microsoft, or find a better bid, before the proxy battle begins. The company has until Saturday to respond to Microsoft’s offer. A lot can still happen before then. Yahoo announces earnings tomorrow, and the conference call should be a lively one. Yahoo will certainly be asked about its test with running Google ads on its search results, and about any counteroffers from Time Warner/AOL. We will be liveblogging the call here, starting at 2PM PT.
